This ostrich is definitely always worth a visit. We have been here several times. The food is always freshly prepared and very fine. It is down-to-earth cuisine, with a standard menu and an additional menu that is always adapted to the respective season. Every season of the year there is a different decoration - in autumn there are hundreds of pumpkins lying around, at Christmas time the entire restaurant is decorated with Christmas decorations - and that really is not too short. In general, the entire economy is already decorated with hundreds of mirrors. The personnel is very friendly and courteous.

The food was really good and the whole atmosphere was very nice. The owner also introduced himself and found out whether everything was satisfactory. Doesn't happen that often. In any case, I will warmly recommend these ostriches and will stop there often.

Price / performance is okay. Location is very nice. It bothered us that every 30 seconds a different waitress was standing at the table and asked whether everything was okay or someone kept walking past the table. We felt very pressured by it.

Always delicious and super nice to sit on. Always a good address, whether as a bike destination or simply in the evening when you fancy seasonal dishes at a good price and sometimes unusual ideas, such as Pumpkin seed pancakes with pumpkin!

Completely soaked on a bike tour, this house was our salvation. We were able to park your bikes under the roof and enter the dining room. It was pleasantly warm and dry there and even a little refined by the numerous mirrors. The wine was good and the food excellent. The attentive service by the friendly young people should only be mentioned in passing. So strengthened, we were able to go back out into the constant rain towards Freiburg.

Nice atmosphere. Nice personel. Food tasted good. You can only pay cash, something unusual, good that I happened to have enough money with me, which is otherwise not the case. If I had to let my family sit down while paying to look for a giromat, I would have been really angry ;-)

Super delicious and fresh food is available here, as well as very friendly waitresses. The Corona specifications are implemented excellently here. One of the best addresses!

Here you can enjoy Baden specialties and home-style cuisine. The decor in the courtyard is rustic but cozy. The staff are attentive, friendly and helpful.

We were in Lorenz-Strauße for the first time since it reopened. It was wonderful. Despite the difficult conditions, the service is patient and always friendly. The asparagus pancake a delight, the red wine delicious. It is fun to be with you and to forget the current permanent stress for a moment. Thanks to the team. You’re great, see you soon.

Restaurant with a unique interior. The food is very tasty at affordable prices. The disadvantage is the impossibility of booking which is not always ok when the restaurant is always full.

Nice people and good food

A locals secret place, with no sign from the street. We were sent by our hotel manager and found a very lively place for dinner. The menu is in German only but the waitresses were fluent in English and were happy to explain. Seating is shared so you just join a table with others, so no reservations needed. Food had a local touch and the specialties were with fresh asparagus. We had the asparagus filled pancake...

Great restaurant with really tasty food but what make this place so special is its interior decor. So many quirky funny little things can be found on the walls hanging from the ceilings and just all over the place. It's not in the way at all and fun to walk around before/after you've eaten. Plus you can buy all the decoration if you're interested. In summer they also have an outside seating, winter break is between Christmas and mid-March.

I always love to visit this traditional "straußi" restaurant with outstanding decoration. For me it's one of the greatest place to eat around Freiburg for really good price. They cook regional/seasonal meals, especially I found awesome "Bärlauchcremesuppe".
